Enclosures Estimate Conditions 1. Packing and Shipping Costs - This is an estimate only and is based on the dimensions, weights and service requirements provided to us. However, actual characteristics of the items to be packed and/or shipped and service requirements will determine your final costs. 2. Special Packing Needs - Due to their fragility, flat glass objects, e.g. mirrors, stained glass, etc. will be packed in double crates with, "feet", on the bottom to prevent the crate's being laid flat for transportation. This packing method increases both the packing costs and the transportation cost of these items, but will provide greater assurance of intact delivery at destination. Such objects are insured for loss of the item or for damage only if there is observable damage to the crate. 3. Delivery - All estimates are for door-to-door service. Uncrating, inside delivery and debris removal services are NOT included in this estimate unless requested in advance. 4. Insurance - Your shipment is NOT automatically insured. Unless you purchase insurance from Enclosures International Corp., all shipments are deemed to be released to Enclosures International Corp. with a declared value of $100 per shipment. The cost for insurance is 1% of declared value. If shipment is damaged during transit, any claim must be filed in writing within a reasonable amount of time (usually within 48 hours of delivery) by contacting Enclosures International Corp. by fax 415-255-2310. Declared value is not the same as replacement value and the fair market value of the damaged item must be established by either a valid sales receipt or independent appraisal. We can only insure items that we (Enclosures International Corp.) have packed. 5. Transit Time - The normal elapsed times from pick up or drop off at Enclosures to delivery is usually 10 business days (excluding holidays, Saturdays & Sundays). Faster packing and/or shipping service is available at increased costs. 6. Payment - Unless prior arrangements are made with us, payment in full is expected at the time your freight is released to the carrier for transportation or your shipment can be sent C.O.D., in which case there will be an additional handling charge of $25. We can accept payment with MasterCard, Visa, wire transfer or faxed check. 7. International Shipments - Due to enhanced shipping security regulations, at the time of pick up you must provide us with a commercial invoice, or a certificate of origin. Your international shipping quote is for door to door service unless noted otherwise. It does NOT include any duties, taxes, imposts, bonds, storage or other destination charges.
